UNCHAINED non-profit fashion show is coming to Ohio University this week. Here is what you need to know about the organization, the event and how you can get involved.
WHEN/WHERE: Tuesday, April 22 at 7 p.m. in Walter Rotunda on Ohio University’s Athens campus.
WHAT: UNCHAINED is a non-profit fashion show “dedicated to ending human trafficking through awareness and prevention, and restoration of victims,” according to its website.
WHO: Hosted by Student Senate, and sponsored by FANGLE and other organizations, the fashion show will feature 27 student models to narration regarding human trafficking experiences.
WHY: The fashion show and non-profit’s aim is to bring awareness to the realities of human trafficking and violence against women.
HOW: Students, faculty, staff and community members are encouraged to get involved by donating to a scholarship fund to benefit survivors of human trafficking in the hopes of bettering their lives.
