The Hands Up Walk Out protest was in response to the recent tensions between civilians and police, specifically among black youth.

Feminism important for every person, not just women

When people in modern society hear the term “feminist,” their minds paint a picture of an aggressive, man-hating woman with radical world views, which is not the truth behind feminism. Feminism, by definition, means the equality of the sexes. That’s it. Campaigns such as HeForShe by the U.N. Women are breaking down the word “feminist” and making it a conversation about the solidarity and equality of the sexes on all levels.
